The system (1) has a touchpad (2), and a manual slider (7) for covering the touchpad. An internal switch (10) is provided for electrical switch-on and switch-off of the touchpad, and is actuated by the manual slider. The slider is provided with a thin plastic plate or thin metal plate, and is placed under a cover (6) of the system in an uncovered state of the touchpad. The slider has a grip (8) e.g. recess, for moving the slider over the touchpad and/or for return of the slider under the cover, where the touchpad is connected to the system by a serial PS/2 interface.
