The device has a fill level sensor arranged in a fuel tank, and suction pipes (4) arranged at the fill level sensor. The fuel is supplied through the suction pipes to an internal combustion engine. The suction pipes are formed as an individual extruded section (1). The pipes have drill holes (2) that are located in different heights (h1, h2) for reaching different suction height. A lower opening of the suction pipes is closed by sealing plugs (3) integrated in a filter. A suction height adapter is located at lower openings of the suction pipes and is integrated in the filter.
