The LCD key has a graphic display and a switch element integrated together in a housing. A read signal of graphic display controllers is switched in such a manner that current graphics information is read-out over an electronic interface. A base part (9) includes a recess (4) to receive a fastening element i.e. injection nut. An electrical connection is implemented by flexible printed circuit board and a connector, where the printed circuit board is connected with the connector.
