The holder (1) has a set of holder parts (11-16) telescopically connected with each other, and a pull out handle (9) for telescoping the egg holder, where the holder parts (11, 12, 13) comprise respective receptacles (3, 6, 7). An engaging unit (8) fixes the holder parts in a pull out condition. The holder part is designed as a basic holder part and serves as a holder for the holder parts (12-16). A plug-in connector (10) fixes the egg holder in a door of a refrigerator, where the holder parts are made of plastic or metal.
