The cable (10) has a traction-/pressure element (16) e.g. stranded rope, movably guided in an external casing in an axial direction. The traction-/pressure element (16) is surrounded by a plastic body (11) in cross-section, where the plastic body has two projections (12, 14) projecting radially outwards. The projection (12) has a radial projection larger than the projection (14) and is limited at an inner side of an external casing by a radial end of the projection (12).The projections are alternatively arranged in the cross section in a circumferential direction.
