The device has applicators (3, 4) for application of fastening mediums e.g. flexible basting threads, to a carrier e.g. card, to fasten an object (1) e.g. cutlery piece, and a tool e.g. kitchen and garden tools, within fastening areas of the carrier. A retainer (8) is movable and provided for retaining the carrier and the object in an application direction (12) of the applicators, where respective positions of the applicators are changed parallel to the carrier for selection of the fastening areas on the carrier.
