The rotor has a rotor packet (2) attached to a rotor shaft in a torque-proof manner, where the rotor packet comprises a set of axially running bags corresponding to a number of poles in the packet. The bags accommodate permanent magnets (6), where the bags are formed in a tangentially convoluted manner in an axial direction. The rotor packet exhibits a set of dynamo-plates (4) that are arranged axially one behind the other, and set of magnet recesses (5') is provided in the dynamo-plates. The bags and the magnets are rotated around a predetermined spiral angle over an axial packet length. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a rotor of a permanent magnet-excited synchronous machine.
