The method involves providing textiles (8) and/or shoes in washing or rinsing fluid (9). The washing or rinsing fluid is provided in a lye container (2) at beginning of washing cycles and/or rinsing cycles. The washing or rinsing fluid is removed from the lye container at end of the washing cycles and/or rinsing cycles. A drum (3) is rotated reversely with rotary speed and rotary angle in temporal manner in the washing cycles, so that the textiles and/or shoes are moved in continuous swing movement in the washing or rinsing fluid. An independent claim is also included for a washing machine comprising a lye container.
