The box (10) has a solar module-sided connection cable and a supply line (20) that are inserted into functional elements e.g. contact elements, through a connection box sided cable guiding aperture (19) for distributing solar module-side produced electricity to an electrical network. A cover (11) closes a functional elements holding chamber and a sealing element (27) co-operates with cover-sided and base part-sided sealing surfaces for protecting the chamber against external influences. A sealing element holder inserts the element (27) in an orthogonal direction to a base of a base part (12).
