The exhaust tract (10) has a supply device (12) for supplying additives e.g. gaseous additives, to an exhaust gas treatment device i.e. selective catalytic reduction catalytic converter. Two mixing devices (18, 30) swirl the exhaust gas, where one mixing device (18) is arranged upstream of the supply device and the other mixing device (30) is arranged downstream of the supply device in the exhaust tract. The supply device has an end part (16) that is arranged parallel to a central axis (A) of the exhaust tract. An independent claim is also included for a method for supplying the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle to an exhaust gas treatment device.
