The arrangement has a switching transistor (Ts) i.e. NPN transistor, with a collector and an emitter connected with a battery connection (Vs) and an output connection (Vo) of the arrangement. A control transistor (Ta) has a collector connected with a base of the transistor (Ts). A diagnosis transistor (Td) has a collector connected with the output connection and a saturation collector detecting saturation current of the diagnosis transistor. Emitters of the transistors (Ta, Td) are connected with the battery connection. The control and diagnosis transistors are designed as a PNP-transistor. The switching transistor is designed as a Darlington-NPN-transistor arrangement.
