The device (1) has a housing (2) comprising a vacuum chamber and an atmospheric pressure chamber, which are separated from each other in a gas-tight manner by a spring-loaded membrane. A control rod (12) is provided for controlling a position of a locking element of the valve, where the control rod is connected to the membrane. A magnet spring device (21) has magnets (19) moveable over a defined adjusting range along the control rod, where the magnets are brought in contact with a spring (18) in a shutting position of the valve by the tension of the spring. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a magnet spring device at a housing of a valve control device.
