The device has a guide plate (5) which is arranged in an exhaust gas pipe (4). The guide plate extends in flow direction over a complete longitudinal direction of the exhaust gas pipe. The progression of guide plate follows the progression of the exhaust gas pipe. The guide plate is fixed and welded at an inner wall of the exhaust gas pipe.
