The system (3) has a mirror (S1) including a reflecting mirror surface (M1) for a beam (L). The surface is turned away from and located adjacent to an object or image field (O1). The mirror has an opening (D1) for the beam. A mirror support (T1) is arranged on the surface and supports the mirror. The mirror support has bar-like structures i.e. actuators, for supporting the mirror and arranged on the surface. The structures are partial and local reflective, and run in a radial direction with respect to the opening. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a catoptric or catadioptric obscured imaging system.
