The damper has a set of fixed magnets (2, 3) attached to a shiftable steering rod (1). A set of adjustable magnets (4) is movably arranged between the fixed magnets, where the sides of the fixed magnets and the adjustable magnets that are turned to each other exhibit same polarity. The adjustable magnets exhibit a centric hole that is interspersed by the steering rod. The fixed magnets and the adjustable magnets support an angular thin edge coating from a non-magnetic material e.g. plastic, at a side.
