The control has a screen (110) i.e. LCD, displaying soft buttons in two sequences, and a memory (420) storing usage information for soft buttons in one of the sequences, where the information comprises button press for each soft button. A processor (405) i.e. microprocessor, determines whether one of the buttons is pressed a larger number of times compared to soft buttons in another sequence. A display changes the soft buttons in latter sequence, where the soft buttons in the latter sequence are displayed in a high position than the soft buttons in the former sequence. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a remote control system comprising a host computer (2) a method for providing a user with an easily useable remote control.
