The anchor (1) has a rescuing plate (23) arranged in a vertical folded position of the anchor in a height. A boom (3) is held in a V-shaped arrangement with a distance to a central tube (10) such that the boom is not fully folded in parallel with the center tube. The boom is aligned and opened during lifting of the anchor by a guiding wire (20) and a crane, and by an operating by gravitational force. A grid (4) is automatically clamped by the boom. The boom, a console (2) and the center tube are manufactured from a sufficiently had material and are provided with a ballast. An independent claim is also included for a simplified operating method for rescuing persons floating on water from a ship.
