The method for reducing or preventing impairments caused by disturbances through vibrations, which occur in an operational environment of a coating station, comprises determining an excitation frequency of the surrounding fields, and interrupting the propagation path of the external vibration generator up to a scraper element (5) of the coating station with insulation elements (7), whose spring constant is low, so that the natural frequency of the system, which is formed from insulated parts and insulations, is lower than the excitation frequency occurring in the environment. The method for reducing or preventing impairments caused by disturbances through vibrations, which occur in an operational environment of a coating station, comprises determining an excitation frequency of the surrounding fields, and interrupting the propagation path of the external vibration generator up to a scraper element (5) of the coating station with insulation elements (7), whose spring constant is low, so that the natural frequency of the system, which is formed from insulated parts and insulations, is lower than the excitation frequency occurring in the environment. The coating station is insulated to its foundation with the insulation elements. A blade beam (4) is insulated with the insulation elements to the coating station. The spring constant of the insulation elements is determined, so that the excitation frequency and the natural frequency fulfill a given specified inequation. The insulation elements are made of rubber and consist of a mechanical spring, a hydraulic spring and a gas spring. One of the insulation elements comprises an element, whose spring constant is adjustable. An independent claim is included for a device for reducing or preventing impairments.
