The crash box (10) has fastening units i.e. integral sleeves, fixed at a neighbor component, where the crash box is created from an extruded section (20) whose extruding directions run transverse and perpendicular to a vehicle longitudinal direction. The fastening units extend as an integral component of the extruded section in the extruding directions. The fastening units accommodate screws (14, 16). The fastening units are arranged in a corner area between two bars of the extruded section. An independent claim is also included for a connecting arrangement of a crash box for a body of a motor vehicle, comprising a transverse support.
