The method involves orienting a motor vehicle (3) or an assembly such that crosswind yawing movement and/or crosswind force acting on the motor vehicle are reduced. All wheels of the vehicle are steered by a steering device so that slip angle is not developed, and direction and strength of crosswind (7) are detected by a sensor device. A processor-/controller communicatively connected with the sensor device and the steering device. The wheels are steered by the processor-/controller so that wind power (8) resulting from the crosswind and airflow (6) are generated in a direction.
