The method involves supplying a force to a consumption point (6) i.e. crane, through an output side (5) of a vehicle (1) e.g. lorry, where an activation organ (7) is provided at the consumption point for the activation of an emergency stoppage of the output side of the vehicle. An uncoupling of the output side is effectuated by an automatic clutch (3) during the emergency stoppage activation by uncoupling of a drive of a transmission (4). The uncoupling of the outside side is controlled by a central control unit (8) of the vehicle. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for implementing an emergency stoppage of an output side of a vehicle.
