The terminal has two terminal elements i.e. U-shaped handle-like thrust pieces (7), cooperating with a terminal screw (3) in such a manner that the terminal is spreaded for wedging an electrical conductor during operation of terminal screw. A plugging receiver (5) and the terminal screw are formed on a housing side, where the terminal screw is operable from outside. The electrical conductor inserted into the plugging receiver is terminated by the terminal element for supportably floating the terminal element. The terminal element is designed as a terminal spring.
