The method involves detecting the operational parameters of a battery (B) in time-dependent manner. The parameter is classified according to the instantaneous values metering (MWZ1,MWZ2) of a rain flow method (RV) and a loaded integral (BI) for determining load collective (BK). The load condition (LZ), a current (I), the load current (LS) of the battery and battery temperature (T) are detected as operational parameters.
