An installation device (5) is provided for adjustment of the retaining element and comprises a recess (A) for accommodation of the retaining element. The installation device has a fastening element (5.1) spaced at a distance from the recess at a side turned away from the recess. The installation device is fastened to the lock body in an area of a rotary latch by the fastening element. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a door lock for a vehicle.
