The transmission (14) has a solenoid valve controlling fluid communication between a clutch (C1) and a passage. Another solenoid valve controls the fluid communication between a clutch (C2) and another passage. A third solenoid valve controls the fluid communication to a clutch (C3). A fourth solenoid valve controls the fluid communication between a clutch (C4) and a main passage. A fifth solenoid valve controls the fluid communication between the main passage and the former passage. A sixth valve controls the fluid communication between the main passage and the latter passage.
