On a tug line (12), user side of the bar (3), a large steering kite (5) arranged safety device, with a trapezoidal loop (10) which is releasably attached to a mounted on the tether console (13) with a holding element (11) and hooked into the harness hook (6.1) of the user (6) exerts a tensile force on the user, wherein the user disconnects from the power transmission by manual actuation of the trigger sleeve (15), characterized in that the trigger sleeve (15) in the circumference at least one first recess (15.1) which is greater in length and width than the holding element (11) and the holding element by a manual movement of the release sleeve in a rotational direction about the longitudinal axis of the pull line (12) releases and upon release of the holding element the connection to User (7) disconnects.
