A separator element (10) for a mesh cable duct (1) is described; the separator element (10) can be coupled releasably with the duct (1) and is suitable for dividing the cable-housing space along at least a portion of the duct (1) into a pair of adjacent longitudinal compartments. The separator element (10) is formed by a wire which is bent in a manner such as to be coupled with a mesh of the base of the duct (1) and to have a portion (10a) which projects into the cable-housing space.
