PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition curable in high sensitivity on being irradiated with radiation, capable of forming high-quality printed images with high adhesion to printing media and good in storage stability, to provide an inkjet recording method using the ink composition, to provide printed matter obtained by the inkjet recording method, to provide a lithographic printing plate of high plate life obtained by using the ink composition, and to provide a method for making the lithographic printing plate.;SOLUTION: The ink composition contains (a) an electron transfer-type photoinitiation system having at least one of the following combinations (i) and (ii), i.e. (i) a combination of an electron-donating initiator and a sensitizing coloring matter with a reduction potential of -1.0 eV or higher and (ii) a combination of an electron-accepting initiator and a sensitizing coloring matter with an oxidation potential of 1.6 eV or lower, and (b) a polymerizable compound. The inkjet recording method using the ink composition, the printed matter obtained by the inkjet recording method, the lithographic printing plate obtained by using the ink composition, and the method for making the lithographic printing plate, are also provided, respectively.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
