The device has a liquid proof chamber (1) made of a rigid unshrinkable envelope enclosing a body (3) held suspended in the chamber in a completely immersed state. The body is suspended using an organ (4) jutting out of a closed orifice (5). The chamber moves with respect to the body for occupying a position function of density of liquid and which is detected by a sensor (2) held inside the chamber.
