The present application relates to an emulsion comprising an aqueous phase and an oily phase, and also comprising a hydrophilic thickening and a polysaccharide alkyl ether particulierl' invention also relates to a cosmetic or dermatological composition comprising, in a cosmetically or dermatologically acceptable medium, such an emulsion. The use of such a combination makes it possible to stabilize an emulsion, in particular an oil-in-water emulsion - to - water, and more particularly, an emulsion containing no surfactant.
