PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone set, with which a user can refer to the incoming and outgoing histories without operating keys by enabling the user to refer to the incoming history by inputting his voice. ;SOLUTION: When a user operates a key switch 17 to set a voice input enable state, a control circuit 13 sends the voice recognizing voice data stored in a ROM 18 to a voice recognition circuit 21. When the user inputs his voice via a microphone 15, a voice signal processing circuit 14 converts the voice signals into digital signals and sends them to the circuit 21. The circuit 21 compares the voice data sent from the ROM 18 with the data sent from the circuit 14, to decide the type of voice which has been inputted via the microphone 15. The circuit 13 reads the answer voice data out of the ROM 18 to notify the decision result of the circuit 21, sends the voice data to the circuit 14 and also displays the decision result on an LCD 22.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
