The product has a tank (1) containing liquid adhesive (2) and equipped with an applicator point (3). A wire (4) is introduced in the tank and has an end (5) held on a drum (6). A rotation axle (7) is located inside the drum and is coupled with a spring system (8) mounted on a guiding device (9). The guiding device rolls/unrolls the wire into/from a stop (10) fixed on an external end (11). The wire, rotation axle, spring system and the guiding device operate in a sealed compartment fixed on an axial support (14). An independent claim is also included for a method for consolidating and refixing sheets of a book.
