The roof (1) has a controlled movement transmission device arranged near a front edge of a rear roof element adjacent to a front roof element (3). The device has a tie-rod receiving a controlled movement of the roof and rotatably mounted on another tie-rod. The latter tie-rod is rotatably mounted on a lever (5) to transmit the roof movement to an articulation device and drive movement of the element (3) above the rear element. A third tie-rod is rotatably mounted on the rear element and the former tie-rods to guide movement of the former tie-rods.
