The system has an articulation mechanism (3) including an upper connecting rod (31d) articulated at vicinity of an end (A) of the connecting rod with a backrest (1) and at vicinity of another end of the connecting rod with a foldable shelf (2). An axle connects the connecting rod to the shelf and slides along length of the shelf. A lower connecting rod (32d) is articulated at vicinity of an end (B) of the lower connecting rod with the backrest in a lower position with respect to the end (A), and at vicinity of another end of the lower connecting rod with an edge of the shelf.
