The device has a piercer and a pattern (1) mounted on a press, which displaces the piercer and the pattern in a direction with respect to each other such that the piercer forces a sheet against the pattern. The pattern has a frame (10) with a flat upper surface (11) in which a longitudinal groove (12) is practiced. Each edge of the groove presents a longitudinal recess (14) at a junction with the flat upper surface, where the recess constitutes a seat of a roller (15) that receives the sheet to be folded by a support and is provided to be turned in the recess.
