The applicator (14) has a dispensing orifice i.e. slot, supplying a capillary product i.e. cosmetic coloring product, to an elastically deformable application unit (38) i.e. brush, where the applicator is made of synthetic material and configured such that a retaining wall (44) is supported on hairs during application of the product. The application unit is made of foam and axially projected with respect to an end portion of the wall. The wall retains the product, and is axially projected with respect to the orifice.
