Use of at least a compound (I) comprising L-carnitine and its derivatives as cosmetic agent to attenuate, reduce or stop growth of hair and body hair, is claimed. Independent claims are included for: (1) a use of agonist comprising a topical composition; and (2) a cosmetic process, comprising applying the topical composition to the hair and/or body hair.
