The method involves intercepting a HTTP request sent by a mobile terminal (10) of a telecommunication system (1) to a third party server (40), and obtaining an identifier (C-M) of a terminal category from the request. An URL address permitting access of a user agent Profile (UAPROF) is obtained from the identifier before insertion of the address in the request, where the profile contains content formats supported by the terminal category. The request including the address is sent to the server after insertion of the address in the request. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program comprising instructions for executing a URL address inserting method (2) a recording medium readable by a computer, on which the program for executing a URL address inserting method is recorded (3) a device for inserting an address e.g. URL address, in a header field of a request sent by a terminal to a third party server.
