The hinge (10) has a fixed knuckle (11) fixed on a body shell (3) of a motor vehicle, and a movable knuckle (12) fixed on a door. A door stop device has a spring plate (20) in the form of ring gear concentric to a vertical articulation axle (13) and fixed to the fixed knuckle by a fixed end (20a). The spring plate delimits a housing (21) for pivoting a hub (15) integrated with the movable knuckle. The housing comprises supporting units constituted of stops (22, 25), movable stop (23) and a fin (27) for supporting the hub in different opening positions of the door.
