The flange (5) has lateral walls (5a, 5b) connected and immobilized with respect to one another by space bars (5c) cooperating with clamping screws (5d). The space bars have a length permitting to maintain the walls at a certain distance (d) from one another so as to delimit a functional space (5e) and a covering strip (5f) to be fixed on a peripheral edge of the walls to close the space. A single or dual chain transmission device is housed in the space. The strip is formed from a fabric, strap, metal sheet or plastic profile. The lateral walls are made of thin aluminum or steel plate.
