The pin (40) has a cylindrical element (42) inserted through a notch placed in a retaining ring, in a transversal boring placed on a threaded axle, for immobilizing a nut in rotation relative to the threaded axle. An elastically deformable element (44) is pivotingly connected with the cylindrical element, such that the deformable element is retracted to surround the retaining ring for preventing the cylindrical element from being disengaged from a position of the cylindrical element. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting a locking pin.
