The door has fixation units e.g. screw (8), for fixing a reinforcement unit (3) on a door structure, where the fixation units are detachable connection units. The reinforcement unit includes a mounting plate (4) for mounting a reinforcement bar (5) on the door structure. Ends of the reinforcement bar are connected to the plate. The bar is bent for providing projection at outer side of a plane of a door liner (1) of the structure. A connection leg (7) is fixed in a reinforcement tube (2) of the structure. An independent claim is also included for a method for fabrication of a side door of a motor vehicle.
