The method involves generating a unique identifier based on specific data e.g. timestamp data, extracted from a request by a file server. The identifier is stored in the server, and encrypted and emitted by the server. The encrypted identifier is received and decrypted by an application. The decrypted identifier is emitted to the server, and compared with the stored identifier. The stored identifier is removed, and the application is authorized to access an exclusive hosted multimedia content if the identifiers are identical. The content is accessed by the application. An independent claim is also included for a computer program product for storing computer executable instructions for implementing an exclusive hosted multimedia content accessing method.
