The machine has a rotative shaft (4) provided with a ribbed portion (14), and a launcher assembly mounted on the rotative shaft for permitting driving of an internal combustion engine. The assembly has a ribbed portion (15) cooperating with the ribbed portion of the shaft such that the assembly is driven in rotation by the shaft. The portion (14) has dents (30) and hollows (31) in an alternative manner, where an average curvilinear width (d1) of each dent, in a plane perpendicular to a rotational axis of the machine, is lower than an average curvilinear width (d2) of each hollow. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an electrical rotating machine.
