The brush (1) has an elongated handle (2) made of material whose matrix is formed of biodegradable, injectable plastic material e.g. polylactate. The material has particles and colors combined with the matrix. The handle has a cylindrical housing (7) for housing an applicator e.g. natural hair tuft (3), through an axial opening of the housing, where the applicator is adhered to the housing with a biodegradable adhesive. The handle has a peripheral groove (8) in an external wall of the housing, where the groove has a zone frangible from the handle. The particles have sawdust of wood such as mahogany, ebony, pine, and red cedar. The colors can be natural color or food color such as saffron powder or red chili color. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a brush.
