The separator has a cyclone (8) provided with a tangential inlet (1) for intaking gas containing particles or oil drops to be eliminated, and an axial outlet opening (5) for releasing the gas. A storage volume (4) stores the gathered particles or drops. The cyclone is provided with a cylindrical channeling zone (2) and without a conical lower zone. A base of the channeling zone communicates with the volume. The opening creates the depression between the outlet and the inlet by a communication realized between an aspiration conduit (9) and a top part of the volume by an aspiration hole (10).
