The device has a support (5) integrated with an edifice e.g. collective building, and retaining a ladder (3). A case (2) protects the support and maintains the ladder folded against the edifice. An axle (4) traverses lugs of the support, and is blocked in translation by stops (8, 9). The case is fixed to the support by a sliding connection. A detachable part (1) covers the case, where an end of the ladder is fixed on the detachable part. The ladder has rigid segments articulated between each other.
