The device has level detectors (15) arranged in a network of interconnected tubular pipelines (12). Each detector has a global system for mobile communicationor general packet radio servicepath communication module (16) for emitting data representative of liquid level in one pipeline, using signals from sensors (21, 23). A data processing central station permanently collects measurement delivered by the detectors, at preset frequency, and stores the measurements. The station has a conjugated wireless communication module for receiving the data from each detector. An independent claim is also included for a method for monitoring a network of interconnected fluid conduits.
