The method involves performing open loop control and closed loop control, where transitions between the control loops follow a hysteresis loop. Value of an open loop control device is transmitted towards a closed loop control device to reduce discontinuities during the transition between the open loop and closed loop controls. The value is transmitted to an integral correction device of the closed loop control device. The hysteresis loop is governed by a state logic based on a rotational speed of wheels of a vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a control device for controlling a brake of vehicle with antilock function of wheels, comprising a unit for implementing a brake controlling method.
