The device has a base (108) fixed with respect to a wall, and a cover (104) mounted on the base. A driving bar (5) is fixed to an articulation element (110) that cooperates with a surface (102) of the base to form a pivoting connection. The articulation element cooperates with holes (103) of the cover to form a complementary part of the connection. The base is moved towards the interior of a building with respect to a winch. The bar is extended towards the interior of the building by a yoke (11). The yoke is connected to a crank for rotatably driving the bar. An independent claim is also included for a system for mounting a roller shutter assembly.
